Dr. Donlevy grew up in Southern California but spent a number of years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as well. He returned to the southern California area where he attended the University of Southern California. He was accepted into the USC School of Dentistry after only two years of undergraduate work, completing his D.D.S. in 1990 and graduating number one in his class.
After graduation, he enrolled in medical school at Vanderbilt University, obtaining his M.D. in 1993. He completed a one-year internship in General Surgery at Vanderbilt. His Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency was also completed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1996 and he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1999. Dr. Donlevy began private practice in his current location in 1996, offering the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, dental implants and oral rehabilitation, head and neck pathology, and dentoalveolar surgery. Dr. Donlevy is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is married with four children and is an active member of the local South Bay community.
